Computers and More is a computer and technology consulting business dedicated to solving the technological challenges of its clients. They offer a range of services such as office networking, information systems security, data backup, security checks and IT support.
Computers and More’s primary service is information technology security. This forms the baseline of the design ethos for the brochure and was the inspiration for the armored guard display item featured on the testimonials page. The internal pages were split up in order to cover different topics as there was a lot of information to share with customers in a small space. Technological solutions are always complex so blocks of text were required to deliver the message Computers and More wanted to share. To this end, one typeface was used to maintain consistency while textual effects such as italicizing and bolding were used to help differentiate key messages in the text. For example, to give a voice to the testimonials, spoken word was italicized to stand out from the rest of the text. The cover was designed to position Computers and More as a high-powered technological consulting service that is flexible and adaptable to customer situations. For this, the display item (a laptop) was chosen to symbolize mobile computing power that was compact, efficient and could travel to you. The insertion of the CD in the laptop provided a subtle allusion to another service provided by Computers and More - data backup. The color theme - purple and white - was chosen to match the look and feel of Computer and More's website and logo, both of which were heavily dependent on purple and white. This maintained consistency across marketing materials and communication channels with customers. To emphasize the risks that customers faced if they chose to ignore security threats, brochure designers employed questions on the front cover to convince customers to think twice.
